Open Water Diver Course

The Open Water Diver course is the first exciting step in learning to scuba dive. As a diver, you’ll experience weightlessness, get up close to the fascinating marine life that our world has to offer and create memories that will last a lifetime. Breathing underwater for the first time is an unforgettable experience, so don’t put it off any longer.

Remark : 400THB National Park Fee Excluded.

PREREQUISITES & MINIMUM AGE :

Course prerequisites: able to swim, Medically Fit for diving, comfortable in the water.

During the Open Water Diver course, your instructor will ask you to:

  • Float or tread water without aids for 10 minutes.

  • Swim 200 metres/yards with no aids or 300 metres/yards with mask, fins and snorkel.

Minimum age: 10

Divers certified between the ages of 10-14 earn a Junior Diver certification.

Junior Open Water Divers automatically become Open Water Divers at age 15. Any replacement certification card or eCard purchased the day after the diver's 15th birthday will automatically show an Open Water Diver (not Jr. Open Water Diver) certification.

Children eight or older can try scuba diving in a pool (or pool-like environment).

SOME THINGS TO KNOW  :

  • You will be limited to a depth of 18 meters. 

  • ฺYou need to be in Reasonable Health.

  • The King Cruiser Day Trip is not suitable for Discover Scuba Diving.

  • You need to allow a 18hrs before flying after scuba diving.

  • After this course, continuing education courses like Advanced Open Water Diver  will help you develop your skills as a diver.

  • The price is excluded the National Park Fee entering Phi Phi Island 600THB.
